Ballet Folklorico – Our curriculum for Mexican Folk dance is extensive and encompasses various dances from different states in Mexico.  Students learn authentic folk dances as they prepare for public performances.  (Performances are NOT mandatory.)  The beautiful art of Ballet Folklorico has been Baila! Baila!’s trademark for over fifteen years and the tradition continues.  Intricate footwork and extravagant skirtwork complement the magical music that is Mexico.  The history of the Mexican people is intertwined in this art form and is communicated to the students as part of their education of the art.

For beginning students, balance, rhythm and timing are emphasized as students learn fundamental steps.  As students advance, poise, personality and stage presence become an integral part of classes.  Choreography is also added to complement the learning experience.  The classes are one hour in length and the first lesson is free.

SalsaerobicsTM – SalsaerobicsTM is an idea created and developed by Israela Garcia for Baila! Baila!.  This  is a very popular exercise class that is set to Latin music.  In this class, students learn dance steps which include:  Salsa, Cha Cha, Cumbia, Merengue, Samba, Mambo and more!!!  There are beginning and advanced classes to meet the needs of every student.  The class is so enjoyable, the hour is over before you know it!  Come and dance with us as you get and stay in shape.  There have been many imitators, but there is only one SalsaerobicsTM!!        The classes are one hour in length and the first lesson is free.

Vocal Instruction and Vocal Coaching – Vocal lessons are usually one-half hour in length and are offered to males and females.  Basic breathing techniques are taught and practiced during each lesson in order to strengthen the diaphragm which is used to enhance a singer’s note-holding capability and vocal strength.  Various vocal exercises are taught and practiced during each lesson to improve pitch and sound quality.  The goal is for the student to build confidence and strength in their singing.  Emphasis is also placed on ear training and rhythm so that the student will be capable of hearing when the notes are inaccurate or the timing is incorrect.  Songs chosen by the student are rehearsed, corrected and made performance-ready.  (Performances are NOT mandatory.)

Salsa Dance Classes – Salsa has become one of the most popular dance forms in the world, recognized in almost every foreign country and danced in various different styles.  The most popular is street or freestyle salsa, which encompasses everything from the simplest of moves to the flashiest of turns and combinations. Salsa classes are offered as four-week sessions.  The classes meet once a week for one hour and when the session is over, the class meets at a local establishment to practice their new moves!  This class is appropriate for beginners and for students who would like to clean up their basics and build their confidence on the dance floor.  Partners are not necessary.

Private Instruction – All classes, with the exception of SalsaerobicsTM, are offered on a private lesson basis.  Prices vary for lessons depending on the type and length of the lesson.
